Metaphar comparing 2 or more unlike things without using the words like,as, or than.
Personification Gives the qualities of a person to animal,an object, or an idea
Onomatopoeie Words that copy or mimic sounds example: BOOM, POW,SPLASH
Alliteration Repeated constant sound at the beginning example: “Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers”
Hyperbole An exaggeration example: I told you a million times
Idioms An extreme exaggeration.A group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words example: its raining cats and dogs
